Photographed ca. 1900. Chief High Bear was known to be a Lakota Sioux warrior. Little is known about his life, but after signing the Black Hills treaty in 1876, it appears that he settled down in Pine Ridge until his death in 1915.

Photographed in 1872 by Alexander Gardner, Many Horns was a Cut Head Band Chief of the Upper Yanktonais who fought in The Great Sioux War of 1876.
